Coudoulet, as Beaucastel, owes its ability to age to the high proportion of Mourvedre - about 30% - that makes up the final cuvée. This provides a tannic backbone and resistance to oxidation that ensures long life. In addition, Mourvedre introduces aromas of leather, tobacco, and spice to the blend.

This is made from grapes grown just outside the Côtes du Rhône appellation by the excellent Perrin brothers of Château de Beaucastel fame. A fine blend of half Viognier and half Marsanne with the aromas of lime blossom and the flavours of ripe pears. Great with creamy cheeses.

100% Roussanne from a special 5-hectare block of vines, planted in 1997 with the Tablas Creek vine clone, originally from Château de Beaucastel. Qupé selectively ferment one or more lots from within this vineyard, using second-fill Burgundy barrels for fermentation and ageing, before bottling without filtration.
