Château Tayac's 37 hectares of vineyards are located on some of the best gravelly soils on the hilltops of Soussans. The château has remained under the ownership of the same family for four generations. The wine is matured in 35% new French oak for 10-12 months. Deep and rich red in colour, with an open, complex nose of liquorice and cinnamon touches to the fine blackcurrant core. Plenty of concentration on the palate. Serve with red meat or game, or mature hard cheese.

If you like visiting vineyards then the Douro is a must. The best way to travel up there is to take the train from Oporto. After the first few stops, at which most of your fellow passengers get out, you are left wending your way slowly up-river as the track parallels the river Douro up to the Spanish border four hours away. The valley gets steeper and the wild slopes get wilder, and become dotted more info >>

A beautiful clear and orange colour states a high quality. Wild peaches are small and grow in the middle of the wineyards in the area around Cognac. Their taste is strong and concentrated. This gives the Creme de Peche de Vigne all its flavour and specific fresh and sunny taste. Warm, large nose of peach, long after-taste, natural, some almond character, lots of Peach, fresh and spicy.
