One of the most famous white wines in the world and one for which Louis Jadot is justifiably famous; a lovely rich wine that shows the true delights of Chardonnay, soft and elegant with a rich mouth feel, delicate use of oak and good acid balance. Part of the wine is fermented in vats and the other in oak barrels in order to have a fresh and fruity wine with a good structure. 100% Chardonnay.
Poised and elegant, this shows what lovely wines Louis Jadot makes in the Macon Crus. Dry and fine with touches of soft peachy fruit and a delicate nutty rounded character on the long balanced finish. Saint Veran is vinified in stainless steel tanks and bottled in spring in order to keep all its freshness and fruitiness. 100% Chardonnay.

One of Beaujolais's most prestigious houses, acquired by Louis Jadot in 1996. Although 100% Gamay, the wine is made using traditional Pinot Noir vinification techniques, with a 20-30 day fermentation by indigenous yeasts, followed by partial ageing in French oak. Intense aromas of ripe red fruit intermingled with irises, roses and hints of spice. Surprising depth and muscularity on the palate, more info >>
This wine comes from Gamay grapes and so can be drunk slightly chilled, in order to protect the delicious aromas of fruits and the delicate freshness of the wine. This Beaujolais Villages can be drunk young but will age well for 2-3 years. Ideal as an aperitif or with salads and light meats. In 1998 Louis Jadot opened their new Combe aux Jacques Winery, near the village of Brouilly. For the first more info >>
Fleurie Poncereau is fruity as well as floral. It is mellow and elegant but also a racy wine. It has a silky texture and finesse. Full, ripe red fruits are balanced by a supple freshness and acidity on the palate with a long finish. 100% Gamay. The Fleurie 'Poncereau' is vinified like all the wines from this region: semi-carbonic maceration of uncrushed grape clusters with pumping over of the cap. It is then aged in oak barrels for 8-10 months before bottling.
A very different style of Beaujolais Cru which shows the potential of really well made Cru Beaujolais. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed before fermentation and the wine is barrel aged to create a wine with rich and succulent Gamay fruit as well as having the concentration and structure to develop in bottle. 100% Gamay.
This wine has enticing perfume, generous fruit with savoury notes and good structure. The fermentation takes place in vats for 3-4 weeks, after which they are aged in wooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled. 100% Pinot Noir.
